The City refuses to recognize “Chapter X – Park Development Limitation” as the significant and final land use regulation for our Nature Preserves that voters’ intended it to be!
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
LoveLOParks and Lake Forest NA are disappointed, as you must be, that our City has neglected and abandoned their charter-mandated responsibility to our community and put all citizens in this unfortunate situation. Our City’s defiance to Lake Forest NA and the voters’ of Measure 3-568 (Chapter X – Park Development Limitation) require a multi-facetted approach; one of which, is retaining strong legal counsel that represents citizens’ interests. We hope to communicate a comprehensive approach in the coming weeks.
At this time, we seek to gauge the commitment (support and financial) of our community to achieve these ends. Example: 420 people (~5% of the 62% voters of Measure 3-568) averaging $250 per donation would fund a healthy response to our City of $105,000.
If you support defending our Charter and this grave injustice, please let us know by submitting a pledge of support and, if feasible, an estimated financial contribution — any amount you can pledge will be helpful. Unfortunately, LoveLOParks is not a 501(c)(3) organization nor can the LoveLOParks PAC solicit funds for the purposes of litigation so donations are not tax deductible nor eligible for the political tax credit.
