Update Nov 7, 2019: Save Cooks Butte prevails in battle with the City
Over a 12-week period, residents petitioned the Lake Oswego community on dissenting to the placement of a telecommunications tower at Cooks Butte natural park. Over 900 signatures were collected.
The map below highlights the solidarity of the Lake Oswego community to honor Marjorie and John Emery’s wishes for Cooks Butte to remain forever wild. A majority of these petition signers expect a stronger guarantee that Lake Oswego’s natural parks are protected from future City development plans.
