We took a fields trip to Pete’s Mountain to see for ourselves what happens when a telecommunication tower is constructed. We were surprised what we found!
- 3 cellular towers
- 2 C800 towers
- another C800 200 foot tower on the way
These towers are somewhere between 120 – 150 feet. Much shorter than the proposed 196.5 foot tower at Cooks Butte.
What kinds of precedence does constructing a telecommunication tower in Cooks Butte set? If the City can be allowed to alter a deed and destroy a natural park, what does it mean for our other parks that we, as taxpayers, have funded generously with bonds?
